Sensitive registration information submitted through our secure server (https://www.georgiacenter.uga.edu) is never transmitted in unencrypted format either on the Internet or within the Georgia Center's internal network. Personal information acquired through registrations is not distributed outside the Georgia Center except to the organization sponsoring a conference or event or as required by the state of Georgia's Open Records Act. While we do not actively share information, in some cases we may be compelled by Open Records requirements to release information gathered from our web servers.
The Univeristy of Georgia also complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), which prohibits the release of the educational records of UGA students without their permission.
