15.0 continuing education hours (lecture and laboratory) or
7.5 hours (lecture only) for full conference.

The Arthroscopy and Soft Tissue Rigid Endoscopy courses are introductory in nature and are designed to get veterinarians started in minimally invasive surgery, serving as a foundation for later courses. The soft tissue courses prepare participants to perform diagnostic procedures (bladder, ear, nose) that can be done daily in practice. Pets benefit from, and clients prefer, these minimally invasive approaches.

At the conclusion of the soft tissue course, each participant should have a good understanding of instrumentation and should be able to use endoscopic instruments to biopsy organs, perform gastropexies, and remove calculi. Since arthroscopy requires more practice, we have added a second half-day of lab and caution participants not to expect to be immediately successful in all aspects of arthroscopy.

Technicians are encouraged to register to attend the lectures and observe, but not participate in, the hands-on laboratory.
