Southeast CUNA Management School

Sculpting a successful career in credit union management requires experience, motivation, a commitment to credit union philosophy, and effective leadership skills. The Southeast Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Management School provides participants the opportunity to increase their business acumen and their leadership capabilities. Since 1971, the school — formerly known as the Southeastern Regional Credit Union Schools (SRCUS) Management Program — has given credit union professionals the inside track to achieving career success. Graduates consistently reach top leadership positions in credit unions, where they are prepared to handle the challenges credit unions face in human resource management, operations, marketing, financial analysis, risk management, and much more. Held June 8-15, 2007, at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, the Southeast CUNA Management School is the most comprehensive, college-level training program developed for Southeastern credit union staff. Students take a series of courses during each eight-day session for three consecutive years. Each session provides opportunities to master a challenging curriculum, to participate in hands-on projects, to exchange ideas with fellow attendees, and to further develop leadership skills. In addition, Southeast CUNA Management School students are given the opportunity to add practical value to their credit unions through 2nd and 3rd year research projects.
