The University of Georgia's A.N.S.E.R.S. Program conducts Return-to-School Workshops throughout the year for adults in the Northeast Georgia area who are interested in beginning or continuing their college education. The Return-to-School Workshops provide specific information about educational opportunities at UGA and at other schools and colleges in the area, an overview of the A.N.S.E.R.S. Program, discussion of A.N.S.E.R.S. pre-college courses, individual consultations with A.N.S.E.R.S. pre-admission advisors, a question-and-answer period, and refreshments. The A.N.S.E.R.S. (Adult & Nontraditional Student Educational Resources & Services) Program functions as a clearinghouse, broker, and provider for a wide variety of programs and services for adults and nontraditional undergraduate students, both on-campus and off-campus. Services include pre-college readiness courses, life and business skills training, advising and counseling services, back-to-school workshops, and more. A.N.S.E.R.S. identifies resources and services that exist on campus and in the Northeast Georgia area, and functions as a one-stop source of information. A.N.S.E.R.S. serves University employees eligible for tuition remission under Board of Regents guidelines, employers interested in workforce education and training, adults in the local community and Northeast Georgia, and students already enrolled. The program, which has the motto "Unlocking the Resources of The University of Georgia for Adult and Nontraditional Students," is administered by the Georgia Center for Continuing Education.
