Prerequisite: None
Topics and methods in crop and soil sciences relating to soil formation; physical, chemical, and biological properties of soils; commercial fertilizers, lime, and organic matter; soil management practices; and the effect of such soil properties on plant growth.
Requirements: Nine lessons, one examination.

Please note:IDL course CRSS 4220 is not intended as a substitute for the
regular UGA soils course CRSS 3050/3050L. CRSS 4220 is developed for
non-majors and adults seeking the Certification in Turfgrass Management. If
students take the course and later transfer to UGA's CRSS degree program, they
will be required to take the CRSS 3050/L.
