Schedule and sequence
In general, lessons may be submitted in accordance with the lesson schedule
outlined in the course guide, even if previously submitted lessons have not
been graded and returned. In many courses, however, lesson assignments are based
on the student's ability to master one assignment before continuing to the next;
instructor comments on graded lessons may assist the student in improving responses
to subsequent lessons. Lessons submitted at a rate that exceeds the maximum number
permitted for the course may be returned to the student ungraded. Lessons also must be submitted in numerical sequence. Lessons submitted out of sequence will be held until the missing lesson(s) have been submitted.
Assigned work should not be copied directly from the textbook but should reflect
considerable thought and independent completion by the student (see the Academic
Honesty Policy).
Lessons must be submitted in their proper sequence, beginning with the first lesson. Lessons submitted out of sequence may be returned ungraded. All lessons designated as incomplete (I) must be resubmitted. Resubmitted lessons will not be calculated in the maximum rate of lessons submitted in a seven-day period. Midterm examinations, reports, and term papers are counted as lessons, but final examinations are not.
