Independent and Distance Learning courses are self-paced, so you can enroll at any time and begin your coursework in a few days. You have up to nine months to finish.
If you are currently admitted to the University of Georgia, you can register online at any time. You can pay with a credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover). For alternative forms of registration or payment, please contact IDL.
If you are a student doing degree work at another institution or if you are interested in taking IDL courses to continue your education, you can apply via the University of Georgia Admissions web site. Please contact IDL if you'd like assistance with the admissions process. After being admitted, you can enroll in your course and get started immediately.
Your registration will be processed within three to four days after you submit your information, and you will receive an e-mail message providing instructions for logging into your course.
Please consult an academic advisor to make sure that your IDL course will meet your needs. You may enroll in no more than three IDL courses at the same time.
