Who should enroll?

Developing a Support System for the Non-traditional Learner:
This course offers guidelines for receiving and giving support while pursuing online studies. Its goal is to provide you with tools that will help you develop a positive mutual support system in your life.
Making Time for Academic Success - A Personalized Time Management System:
This course is designed for students who are trying to decide how to make the time to take college courses, or for students who have discovered the need to manage their time more effectively after having already plunged into the world of college coursework.

What are the benefits?

This independent learning format allows you to start the program at any time and study at your convenience. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded .5 CEUs from the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education. CEUs are recognized as a standard training unit in business and industry.

How does it work? What will I need to take the course?

  • The course consists of online readings and online assessments.
  • This is a 5-hour course of study; you will have 30 days to complete the course.
  • Upon completion of this course you will no longer have access to the content online. For future reference, you may print a copy of any course content that you found useful.

Technical Requirements

To ensure the best possible experience with this course, we highly recommend that your system include the following:

  • A PC running Windows 95 or higher, or a Macintosh running Mac OS 8 or higher.
  • A VGA (or equivalent) or better monitor (required). Minimum 800x600 resolution.
  • Internet access (required). If using a dial-up connection, at least a 28.8k modem is recommended. Performance of courses will suffer with slower connections.
  • A Java enabled Web browser: Netscape 4.x, Internet Explorer 5.0, or newer versions of either (required).
  • Virus protection software is highly recommended for any computer accessing the Internet.
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view some course materials. This free plug-in can be downloaded from the Adobe website.

What does it cost? How do I register?

  • Free for students enrolled in eCore courses. Please use the eCore student registration form to qualify. If you are NOT an eCore student, please see below for registration instructions.
  • The course fee for each course is $49.
  • You may enroll at any time. You can register online, or using our printable registration form. You can also register by phone at 1-800-811-6640 (inside the United States) or +1-706-542-3537 (outside the United States) with a major credit card.
  • Upon receipt of your registration and payment, you will receive your online username and password.

Who developed the courses?

These courses were funded by Advanced Learning Technologies, a division of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, and developed by the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education.
