This course is designed for students who are trying to decide how to make the time to take college courses, or for students who have discovered the need to manage their time more effectively after having already plunged into the world of college coursework.

When you complete this course you will learn how to:

  • Appreciate the importance of time management as a tool for academic success and balancing the unique challenges of online learning.
  • Recognize and avoid self-destructive time traps that have the potential to sabotage your academic goals.

  • Create a personal time management log that will allow you to track your personal, professional, and academic obligations to insure that you maximize time.
  • Clarify your objectives by setting end goals that reflect your values, and determining whether these goals are being advanced (values congruence) on a daily basis by the way you use your time.

  • Develop semester (secondary) and supporting goals that support your end goals.
  • Connect To-Do List items with the goal-setting process.
  • Interpret the relationship between your broad personality type and the way you use time in order to successfully complete your customized time management program.

The course consists of online readings and online assessments.
