The course includes information on personnel law and the basics of human resource management including the day-to-day issues facing human resource staffs, the role of the personnel manager, and methods for establishing and adhering to sound personnel policies and procedures.
Unlike in a face-to-face class, students can complete this Web course at their own pace, on their own schedule, within a 30-day period. Successful completion of this first online credit offering will earn students the same credits (.6 CEUs) that they would receive for attending a traditional six-hour Human Resources I workshop. By completing four lessons and accompanying multiple-choice quizzes, students will gain knowledge and skills that will help them work more effectively in all phases of human resource management.
This course was developed as a collaboration between the Carl Vinson Institute of Government and The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education.
