Course Details
Concepts in Clinical Pharmacokinetics Online CE Course is a self-paced, self-study, 15-week program in the fundamental principles of absorption, distribution, metabolization, and elimination of drugs from the human body. Delivered via the Internet, the program allows you to progress at your own pace, augmented by consultation with your assigned instructor-facilitator, upon request.
This course is designed primarily for practicing pharmacists and others already working in the pharmaceutical industry wanting to obtain a well-rounded and in-depth knowledge of clinical pharmacokinetics. You don't need to be an expert computer user to benefit from this online course, but you will need some basic skills and resources. You will need access to a computer with a recent web browser program and an active connection to the Internet. If you can use a web browser and an email program, you will find this course easy to use. Your web browser will need certain plug-ins in order to view and make use of all of the media presented in this course. Clinical Certificate Program for Advanced Practitioners is a self-paced, self-study, 3-month program exposing you to a self-assessment program, case presentation and direct patient applications.

Option #1: Online 15-Week CE Course
(granting 20 hours of ACPE approved CE credit [2 UGA* CEUs].)
Assessment of your performance will be based on your contributions to the course discussions via the online discussion board, your progress through the presented material, and your overall understanding of the content, as demonstrated by your end-of-lesson online quizzes.
Online postings, course emails, and the sharing of individual experiences facilitate the learning process. For the course to be as successful as possible, each student must take responsibility for his or her own learning and contribute to the experience both in the discussions and through course email.
Your personal success in this course will depend on your commitment to keep up with the schedule, read the required material, use the multimedia components, complete the lesson review quizzes, and participate in each lesson's discussion assignments.
You are required to submit at least two discussion postings each lesson, as well as successfully complete the online quizzes and the final online examination. The instructor-facilitator will respond to discussion topics each week and will monitor your discussion postings and other online assignments. You will have up to 15 weeks to complete this self-paced course. *If you are not a licensed pharmacist, you are eligible to earn University of Georgia Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
How to earn ACPE CEs from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy or University of Georgia CEUs:
1. You must post a minimum of 22 discussion responses from Lessons 1-11
2. You must successfully complete the end-of-lesson quizzes (Lessons 1-11) with a score of 70% or better
3. You must successfully complete the final online examination a score of 70% or better

Option #3: Applied Pharmacokinetics Self-Assessment and Certificate Program for Advanced Practitioners
(granting a combination of 15 hours of ACPE-Approved CE credit.)
How to earn ACPE CEs and ACPE-Accredited Certification Component from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy:
1. You are required to complete a self-study of the course material as well as complete an 85-question online examination with a score of 70% or better. Upon your successful completion of the self-study and examination, you move onto the next phase of the program which consists of the following assignments:
2. You must read the textbook and online course content for Lessons 12 - 15 in Concepts in Clinical Pharmacokinetics
3. You must post responses to each of online questions in Lessons 12 - 15 (Cases) onto the discussion board
4. You must successfully complete the end-of-Case quizzes with a score of 70% or better. The instructor-facilitator will respond to your Case postings for Lesson 12-15, and will also monitor your quizzes for these same lessons. You will have up to 3 months to complete the Certificate Component.
Suggested Course Schedule
Self-study and complete the ACPE CE examination. You will have one attempt to successfully complete the 85-question, multiple-choice examination with a score of 70% or better. You must successfully complete the online exam prior to beginning the Cases below.
