Please turn your cell phone off or program it to "vibrate only" while classes are in session. If you must talk on the phone, please do so during a break.

Course Cancellation and Refund Policy (effective June 1, 2009)

This cancellation and refund policy does not apply to online programs, some certificate courses, or conferences as these programs have individual refund policies.

We will gladly issue 100% refund, less a $15 processing fee, for face-to-face course cancellation requests received before 5:00 p.m. on the fifth business day prior to the beginning of a course. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding University of Georgia holidays.

NO REFUNDS can be issued if you cancel within four business days of the course start date or at any time after a course begins.

Course Transfer: Transfer requests must be received no less than four business days prior to the beginning of a course. Only one transfer is permitted per enrollment. Once an enrollment has been transferred, failure to attend a course will result in forfeiture of the course fee.

Course Cancellation by the Georgia Center: Should the Georgia Center find it necessary to cancel the course for any reason, we will attempt to notify the participants at least 24 hours in advance via phone and/or e-mail. In the event that the course is cancelled by the Georgia Center, a 100% refund will be processed for each registrant.

Method of Refund: Refund of a credit card payment should appear on the next billing cycle. Check, cash, and debit card payments will be refunded within four weeks.

The Georgia Center for Continuing Education is not responsible for any personal expenses incurred with any airline, travel agency or hotel due to a cancellation.

Face-to-Face Course Confirmations

Course confirmations are sent via e-mail if an e-mail address is provided. They can also be mailed upon request by calling 706-542-3537 or 1-800-811-6640.

Face-to-Face Course Transfer

You may transfer your course enrollment to another course, one time. However, if you do not attend the course you transferred to, you will forfeit the course fee unless you cancel before the refund deadline for the new course.

Online Course Cancellations

Most online courses do not offer refunds after course access is granted or passwords are issued; others retain a processing fee for cancellations. For information on specific online courses, see their web site.
