Cardio Boxing for Fitness Professionals (Live Lecture)
Instructor: Russ Armistead or Cindy ElsberryLearn proper punching form and footwork specific to cardio boxing. Learn how to design workout programs as a personal trainer or as a group exercise instructor and incorporate the stretches for the specific muscle groups. Show the proper form for punches and kicks, learn to design a boxing cardio workshop, and be able to demonstrate one new stretch that isolates the muscle groups that are involved. Textbook required.

Four-Course Advanced Skills Series for Fitness Professionals

The following four-course series is open to fitness professionals and provides for 15 continuing education credits (CECs). If all four courses are taken as a series, the ACE (American Council on Education) issues 1 vocational college credit. All four courses: $264* Courses may be purchased separately.

Nutritional Concepts Workshop for Fitness Professionals (Live Lecture) Learn the facts about the importance of nutritional health. Study the relationship between caloric intake, caloric burn, weight loss, weight gain, and body fat percentages. Review the pros and cons of popular diets and the health effects of some common drugs and nutritional supplements.

Running Techniques for Everyone (Live Lecture) Learn to use the physiology of running to assess and achieve optimal running form. Topics include: choosing appropriate running shoes and apparel, designing running programs, and learning technique analysis and injury prevention. (Rapport, Empathy, Assessment, and Development), create a need (tugging at the "heartstring"), and learn tricks for changing a "no" into a "yes."
