Week 2: Sunday, July 7, 2013 – Thursday, July 11, 2013

The University of Georgia and the College Board® are pleased to announce Advanced Placement® Summer Institutes (APSI) for June and July 2013. AP Summer Institutes offer 30 or more hours of subject-specific professional development that equip teachers with content and resources to enhance their teaching of AP courses. AP Summer Institutes also provide an opportunity for teachers to exchange ideas and information with peers worldwide, and to become members of an extended learning community.

The 2013 Advanced Placement Summer Institutes feature intensive learning sessions held on the campus of the University of Georgia. Courses are led by College-Board-endorsed consultants who will familiarize participants with up-to-date AP standards, course content and teaching methods. Courses are appropriate for both new and experienced teachers. A certificate of completion is awarded to each participant meeting Institute completion requirements. We are seeking approval from the Georgia Department of Education to award Georgia educators 3.0 Professional Learning Units (PLUs).

Participants must attend all 30 hours to earn the certificate of completion.

Your course fee includes instruction, all instructional materials including College Board bundles, continental breakfast and lunch Monday through Thursday, and parking in the South Campus Parking Deck. The time spent networking and sharing ideas with your peers is priceless!

UGA will send additional information regarding what to expect, what to bring, and how to prepare for your APSI experience. Select a course below to see details, including a course description, learning objectives, tentative syllabus/agenda, and instructor information.
