For first responders in Spanish-speaking communities, the ability to bridge the communication gap can result in saving lives. This course is designed for first responder professionals including EMT, paramedic, firefighter, and others who arrive on the scene of a fire or an accident. Spanish for Fire and EMS includes Spanish phrases and "Alert Words" with a focus on emergency situations. Topics range from evaluating and communicating with victims, to understanding terms for pregnancy, to diagnosing physical complaints, wounds and more.
To receive a certificate, you must complete the following: Spend 15 hours online (the program automatically tracks your time) and complete the online course assessments.
