Are you ashamed to open up your cabinets At the first session you will learn some basic organizing tips by learning strategies for organizing specific projects. The second session will be tailored to your individual needs. We will discuss your organizing project, answer your questions, and cover organizing of specific areas that are of interest to you! Ideas for Accessorizing Your Home (Live Lecture)
Instructor: Meloney CheneveyIf you are in the midst of selling your home or if you are just wanting to establish a look that says "WOW," learn the secrets of using accessories to make your home more welcoming and attractive. Learn where to find affordable accessories, how to place them on tables and bookshelves, and how to use inexpensive fabrics to enhance your windows. Learn how to use accessories to make a personal statement and how to choose and hang attractive, but inexpensive artwork. You will also create a layout of a room in your home that you wish to accessorize. Supplies: Scissors; black foam core board, 32" x 40"; glue stick; and photo of the room you wish to accessorize.

Instructor: Meloney CheneveyIn this housing market, you have to present your home as if it were a model home. You have to look better than the competition. Come learn how to do this without going into debt or hiring an expert. You'll get good solid information on many topics, including how to create curb appeal, painting, repairing, furniture placement, and depersonalizing your private spaces. Landscaping Your Yard for Curb Appeal (Live Lecture)
Instructor: Jenny DeRevereGet creative, practical, and cost-conscientious advice on gardening and landscaping ideas for your home. Topics will include color, texture, form, and aesthetics. The course focuses on utilizing drought-tolerant and native plants and plant care and maintenance during water restrictions. Supplies: Bring a photograph of the part of your yard you want to landscape, a small roll of graph or drawing paper, a pencil, an eraser, and a notebook.

Fundamentals of Fresh Flower Arranging (Live Lecture)
Instructor: Melinda RaserThe instructor, a Master Gardener, will teach you the basic principles of floral design. Discover how to conceive an idea, shop for floral materials, process the flowers and other natural materials, and overcome the "fear" of working with fresh flowers. Each student must bring $15-$20 to the first session for supplies (you will be notified of the amount before you attend the first session). You will also need to purchase other supplies during the course at a cost of $25-$50 per person, depending on what supplies you choose. You may also choose to use flowers and other natural materials found in your yard and in nature.

Introduction to Sewing (Live Lecture)

Oops! Knitting Mistakes and How to Fix Them (Live Lecture)
Instructor: Margaret HeathmanLearn how to correct your knitting mistakes. Learn to tink, frog, and ladder stitches into their correct positions. A fun class that keeps your knitting flowing! You will leave the class with more confidence in your knitting ability because you can fix your mistakes! The instructor is the author of Knitting Languages.
Homework prior to class: (1) Cast on 10 sts. (2) Knit 4 rows. (3) Work in stockinette stitch (knit one row, purl one row) until entire piece measures 4 inches from the beginning. (4) Do not bind off. Bring your swatch to class with your needles and yarn. Supplies: smooth, light-colored worsted weight yarn and knitting needles (7, 8, or 9); size F, G, or H crochet hook; pen/pencil and paper/notebook.

Skinny Yarns: Luscious Laces (Live Lecture)
Instructor: Margaret HeathmanCome and learn the art of knitted lace. Throughout the centuries, lace has been the epitome of fine needlework. Here is your opportunity to follow in the footsteps of history while using your knitting skills to create beautiful lace for today's lifestyles. You will explore the creation of lace and the use of fine yarns by beginning a lace sampler scarf and knitting a snowflake. Throughout the course, there will be discussion about the many uses of fine-to-medium weight yarns for knitting lace as embellishments, accessories, decorative items, and garments. Supplies: Bring $30 to class for yarns, book & instructions for course projects; also bring (1) size 5 short, straight needle or 24" long circular needle; (2) set of five size 2 or 3 double-pointed needles; (3) size 11 long straight needle or 24" circular needle (needed at 3rd session); (4) three stitch markers; (5) tapestry (yarn) needle; (6) two balls (1 oz. each) of 100% wool worsted weight yarn (needed at 3rd session). The Magic of Spinning Hand-Painted Fibers (Live Lecture)
Instructor: Margaret HeathmanOh, those beautiful hand-painted fibers! To get the look you want in a final fabric, spinning can be challenging. It takes planning to get the look you want, whether it is soft colors, a stripped effect, or pure color. You will explore five spinning, plying, and finishing techniques for variegated fibers by spinning hand-painted roves. Discussions focus on achieving the various looks you want in projects and by experimenting with sampling the yarns spun. Prerequisite: You must be an advanced beginner -- you must be able to spin a continuous yarn without assistance. Supplies: Bring $18 for hand-painted fibers for spinning. Also bring your spinning wheel and accessories (spinning oil, extra drive bands, extra leader thread, etc.); lazy kate; hand towel; ball winder; niddy noddy; three bobbins; pen/pencil and paper/notebook.
