You can learn to play the piano the way the pros do -- with chords. This innovative approach gives you the skills you need to play several songs right in class -- then develop your techniques at home using the class workbook and 60-minute CD provided by the instructor. | Instant Blues and Boogie Piano

This hands-on workshop introduces beginners and
experts alike to the uniquely American piano form known as the blues. For beginners, it's a low-stress introduction to piano playing as you learn to play like the experts do, with chords. For those who already
play traditional piano, this workshop sets the stage for
learning many different styles, including rock, gospel,
jazz, boogie-woogie, and improvising techniques.
Topics include universal blues chord progression, the six-note blues scale, special boogie-woogie chords,
left-hand blues and boogie-woogie patterns, speed-reading sheet music, simple techniques for counting, and how to handle different keys and time signatures. You will design your own materials packet, based on your area of interest. Materials fees will be collected by the instructor in class and range from $29 to $64.
