Architecture & Design (Ages 13-17)

Architectural Design (Ages 13-17)

This camp is currently taking waiting list applicants only. Please click "Register Now" to be added to the list. Though we cannot guarantee it, spots often become available as summer approaches.

Explore the amazing world of architecture, from drawings to scale models! You'll learn the basics of perspective and architectural scale drawings, examine the various delivery systems for houses (water, electricity, heating and cooling), and create a scale model of a house that you designed. We'll look at traditional and experimental designs from past and current architects, and take a close look at the environmental costs and opportunities that are available in building design. You'll leave this program with scale plans, and several 3D models or rooms and a home that you designed yourself. On the final day of camp, we'll even host an exhibit at the Georgia Center to showcase your work! Open to students ages 13-17.
