Drawing and painting doesn't have to be confined to the studio. In this program, we'll travel all over the UGA campus and Athens to find our inspiration! We'll begin the day with lessons on important topics like perspective, texture and pattern, value and form, and line and watercolor. Then we'll take our sketchbooks and travel to interesting places around town to draw and paint from real life! We'll visit cool places like downtown Athens, the Georgia Museum of Art, the State Botanical Gardens, and more! Students will use their sketches to develop larger pieces of work at the end of the week. Note: Students are required to bring their own 9"x12" spiral-bound sketchbook to camp; all other supplies will be provided. Open to students ages 11-15.
