Mahatma Gandhi famously remarked, "We must be the change we wish to see in the world." There is no skill more important to achieving this goal than public speaking. In this camp, you'll undergo extensive training in communication techniques and strategies. Topics include speaking to large groups, giving informative briefings, managing speech anxiety, making a pitch, leading a group, using digital media effectively, and more! At the center of this camp is your work in groups to develop and execute a communication campaign about an issue of your choice. Professionals in the field of strategic communication will evaluate your campaign. Whether your audience is your classmates, your neighborhood, your state, or beyond, the skills developed at this camp will allow you to make a difference and "be the change"! Open to students ages 13-17.
