6-WEEK TEACHER EDUCATION COURSES (ONLINE)

The following online courses are offered for everyone, but are of the most interest to busy teachers who are constantly on the go.

TO RECEIVE PLUs: You must mail or fax this Prior Approval Form before registering for any class. Assistance at questions@georgiacenter.uga.edu.

TIME: Each of the following 2-PLU / 2.4 CEU courses is six weeks in length. A lesson is released each Wednesday and Friday. You may complete each lesson at any time after its release up until the final exam is released. You will have two weeks to complete the Final Exam. PLU credits are normally processed 12-14 days after the Final Exam Due Date (approximately two months after the start date).

 •  2010 spring start dates: Jan 20, Feb 17, Mar 17, Apr 21, May 19, 2010

Praxis I
Instructor: Nicole Taylor-Buckner

The Praxis I test is not required for teachers planning to obtain a teaching certificate for the state of Georgia. For that purpose, the state uses GACE tests. However, if you are planning to teach or train overseas or in a state where the Praxis is required, this course will help you develop the skills you need to face the reading, writing, and math sections — all three parts of the Praxis I. This course is not eligible for PLUs.
