Wine Appreciation for Fall 2008

California Wines (Live Lecture) Instructor: Serge Gonzales

California wines are among the best in the world. Become more knowledgeable and refine your choices as you taste wines from Napa, Sonoma, and Monterey. All major grapes, including the State's "signature," Zinfandel, are described along with specific wineries and winemakers, wine pricing, industry economics, vintages, and external competition. Two wines will be presented for tasting and evaluation at each session. Bring $60 per person to the first session. Dinner at a local restaurant ends the course. Class size limited to 10.
