Writing Children's Literature (Classroom Format)
Instructor: Bettye Stroud |
If you have ever dreamed of becoming a writer of children's books and you have ideas that you think are viable, now's the time to take this course. Writing for children is the ideal way to take up writing, not because it's a snap (it isn't), or because the stories are simple to write (they aren't), or because it doesn't take any time (it does). The joy of writing children's literature comes from having the stories evolve out of your own experiences. You can let the child in you speak. Learn how to create an editor-ready manuscript suitable for publication. Bettye Stroud is the award-winning author of The Patchwork Path: A Quilt Map to Freedom. Candlewick Press, 2005.
Mon., September 21 - November 9, 6-8pm, 8 sessions/16 hrs., $89, #69316
