Charlette Stout, SPHR, is vice president of Corporate Management Consulting, Inc., (CMCI) an HR consulting firm focused on hands-on HR projects and services for small to medium-sized businesses. In addition, she teaches the Human Resource Management Certificate Program (PHR/SPHR) through University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education, Gwinnett Campus.
Prior to joining CMCI, Charlette held the position of director of human resources for Phoenix Health Care Management Services, Inc., a company affiliated with VHA Georgia that exists to deliver shared services to its healthcare organization members. In that role she was responsible for all aspects of human resource management for Phoenix and its affiliated companies. Her scope of duties included human resource strategy, employee relations, recruiting/retention, benefits administration, compensation, policy development/administration, training and employee development. Today she continues to provide services to Phoenix Health Care through CMCI.
Charlette has over 20 years of human resource management experience in both the private and public sectors, including financial services, higher education, healthcare, union and non-union environments. Prior to moving to Georgia, she served as director of human resources for Montana State University-Billings where she had responsibility for management and direction of all human resource functions including labor relations with seven different unions.
She holds a bachelor's degree in education from Montana State University-Billings and a master's degree in human performance technology from Boise State University. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and has held leadership positions in the Society for Human Resource Management and the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources.
