UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA ANNOUNCES CERTIFICATE PROGRAM FOR MEETING PLANNERS AND CONFERENCE COORDINATORS
Athens, GA - The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center and Hotel will offer the Conference and Meeting Management Certificate Program (CMMC) Saturdays, Feb. 25-Apr. 22, 2006 at the Gwinnett University Center in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The CMMC program is intended for meeting planners, event planners, conference coordinators, training and development managers, and more.

The CMMC program will provide participants with the meeting planning knowledge to apply immediately to practice; the opportunity to network with some of the top national players in this industry; and the ability to apply the state-of-the-art budgeting and technology knowledge essential to running a profitable meeting. The CMMC Program is endorsed by the Georgia Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (GaMPI).

Successful CMMC graduates will:
* Expand your knowledge of event planning and how to apply what's learned to your actual practice.
* Gain specific instruction in event planning and execution under the guidance of some of the industry's top professionals and instructors
* Network and make invaluable contacts with other well-established professionals
* Learn about state-of-the-art information technology and how to apply it in the workplace
* To participate in the Conference and Meeting Management Certificate Program (CMMC), you must have accumulated a minimum of three years of professional experience in conference and meeting management or a related field.
* Earn a "Certificate of Completion" and receive valuable University of Georgia Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
