SCREENWRITING COURSE OFFERED BY THE GEORGIA CENTER IN LATE JANUARY
Athens, GA - The Department of Professional and Personal Development of the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center & Hotel will offer Introduction to Screenwriting, Tuesdays, Jan. 31-Mar. 7, 2006, at the Georgia Center, 1197 S. Lumpkin St., Athens, Ga.

This course is designed to support those interested in screenwriting by exploring story-structure, character development, dialogue, short film, sketches, and feature-length film through lectures and workshops that will simulate a real work environment.

The instructor for this course is Henry "Hadjii" Hand. His film, "Somebodies," was recently accepted into the Dramatic Competition at this year's Sundance Film Festival. Hand is also an instructor at the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia.

The cost of the course is $89. Classes will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. There will not be a class on Tues., Feb. 14, 2006.
