Athens, GA - The Department of Certificate Programs at the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center & Hotel will offer two courses in project management this spring. The Project Management Professional (PMP®) Exam Prep Certificate Course will be held Tuesdays and Wednesdays, March 7-22, 2006, and the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) Exam Prep Certificate Course will be held Tuesdays and Wednesdays, April 4-11, 2006. Both courses will be held at the Perimeter site of the Keller Graduate School of Management, 2 Ravinia Drive, in Atlanta, Ga.

PMP® Exam Prep Certificate Course:

The need for project management exists in almost every industry. Organizations are finding that project management tools, techniques, and methodologies are important and provide many advantages. Project management helps organizations meet their customers' needs by standardizing and streamlining routine tasks thus leading to effective and efficient uses of valuable resources. The Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation is a highly respected and frequently required credential in today's workplace. This course will help you on your way to reaching your PMP® goals.

This course is designed for:
* Professionals seeking project management contact hours to sit for the certification examination
* Project managers seeking certification
* Experienced project managers who have had no formal Project Management Institute (PMI®) instruction
* Supervisors or managers who want to learn project management processes
* Anyone interested in an in-depth project management program

The registration fee for the PMP® Exam Prep Certificate Course is $2,499 and includes course textbooks and materials, and expert instruction. Register by February 7, 2006 and save $500. Payment in full is due by Feb. 17, 2006.

CAPM® Exam Prep Certificate Course:

This 4-day certificate program will provide you with the knowledge you need to be a successful contributor to your project team. This course will broadly cover the fundamentals of project management, the nine knowledge areas, the project management processes and terminology.

By earning the CAPM® credential, you will demonstrate your commitment to project management excellence. You will be able to communicate with other project team members using the industry-accepted project management standards. You will enhance your opportunities for career advancement: According to PMI, professionals with project management skills are "increasingly seen on the leadership track."

This course is designed for:
* Anyone seeking formal project management educational hours to sit for the CAPM® exam.
* Project team members
* Junior project management practitioners or anyone new to the project management profession
* Undergraduate or graduate students with an interest in project management
* Professionals seeking a refresher course in project management to earn 24 PMI-approved contact hours or professional development units (PDUs).

The registration fee for CAPM® Exam Prep Certificate Course is $1599 and includes course textbooks and materials, and expert instruction. Register by March 7, 2006 and save $300. Payment in full is due by March 17, 2006.
