UGA WILL OFFER HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATE COURSE IN FEBRUARY |
Athens, GA - The Department of Certificate Programs at the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center & Hotel will offer the Healthcare Management Certificate Program - Cultural Diversity Module, Feb. 22-March 22, 2006, at the Georgia Center, 1192 South Lumpkin Street, Athens, Georgia. Each 15-hour module features a blend of face-to-face sessions and online instruction.
The Healthcare Management Certificate Program is a management training program for healthcare professionals, including nurses, therapists, and medical technologists, who have (or soon will have) supervisory or management responsibilities. Participants in the Healthcare Management Certificate Program - Cultural Diversity Module will learn foundational skills to apply to multicultural relationships in the workplace. Participants will also examine their personal culture and apply the knowledge in their roles as a manager or supervisor who works with people of many cultures in a healthcare setting.
Participants who successfully complete the six modules will be awarded a Certificate of Completion and Continuing Education Units. The Healthcare Management Certificate Program was developed in partnership with the Georgia Nurses Association, the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education, University System of Georgia, and Georgia LEADS.
The Healthcare Management Certificate Program is comprised of six 15-hour modules. The modules stand alone and may be taken in any sequence. The Georgia Nurses Association members will be offered a registration discount for each module.
