PERSONAL PROPERTY APPRAISAL CERTIFICATE PROGRAM TO BEGIN IN SEPTEMBER
Athens, GA - The University of Georgia (UGA), in partnership with the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), is offering the Personal Property Appraisal Certificate Program, a comprehensive personal property valuation program in fine arts, antiques, and much more. This four-course, sequenced series begins Sept. 7, 2006 and will be held at the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center & Hotel, 1197 S. Lumpkin St., Athens, Ga.

The success of the "Antiques Roadshow" and "At the Auction" television shows is evidence of the growth in interest in antiques, heirlooms, art, and collectibles. This highly-respected appraisal program is offered by a few select universities around the country. This class is designed for art dealers; estate liquidators; insurance adjusters; bank trust officers; art gallery staff; museum staff; docents/volunteers; appraisers of residential contents, gems, and jewelry; and anyone interested in personal property appraising as a career.

The Personal Property Appraisal Certificate Program explores personal property valuations that help you build a career in appraising personal property. After successful completion of the four courses, you will earn a Certificate of Completion and University of Georgia continuing education units (CEUs). You can be eligible for eventual membership in ASA.
