GEORGIA CENTER ANNOUNCES NEW PROJECT MANAGEMENT SHORT COURSES TO BEGIN IN DECEMBER
Athens, GA - The Department of Certificate Programs at the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education is pleased to announce two new project management courses starting this December. "Leading a Project Team: Influencing Without Authority," will be held Sat. Dec. 2, and "Negotiation Skills for Project Managers," will be held, Sat. Dec. 9, 2006, at the Keller School of Management-Perimeter Center, Two Ravinia Dr., Suite 250, in Atlanta, GA. Both courses are sponsored by Corporate-Copia and the Georgia Center.

"Leading a Project Team: Influencing Without Authority" will enable participants to recognize situational leadership styles, participate in leadership exercises, learn the seven types of power, and participate in influence exercises to analyze influence strategies and outcomes. "Negotiation Skills for Project Managers" will enable participants to plan a framework to achieve objectives, evaluate and apply communication and persuasion techniques to improve negotiation effectiveness, identify personal conflict styles, and practice negotiation techniques using in-class scenarios.

Both classes each offer 6 PMI-approved PDUs (Professional Development Units)/educational hours. Special discounts are available to qualified participants.
