GEORGIA CENTER TO OFFER "PRINCIPLES IN PRIVATE INVESTIGATION: A CERTIFICATE PROGRAM" THIS FALL
Athens, GA - The deadline is fast approaching for registering for Principles in Private Investigation: A Certificate Program, offered Saturdays and Sundays for six weekends, Sept. 30-Dec. 17, 2006, at the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center & Hotel, 1197 S. Lumpkin St. in Athens, Georgia. Participants registering for the course must enroll by Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006.

Sponsored by the Department of Certificate Programs, Principles in Private Investigation: A Certificate Program is an 80-hour certificate course designed for individuals desiring a new or expanded career in investigation or corporate security. The course also supports professionals in other careers who need to learn the skills and techniques for obtaining information, e.g., corporate professionals, paralegals, insurance adjustors, law enforcement personnel, etc.

Principles in Private Investigation: A Certificate Program introduces:
* The fundamentals of investigation
* Investigations in private sector including but not limited to: retail security, corporate security, insurance investigation and general investigation (e.g., hotel, hospitality, etc.)
* The basics of the industry
* Knowledge of legal requirements and licensing

Taught by Board Certified Instructors, this comprehensive, fast-paced program is in compliance with State Board Rules and exceeds the minimum requirements set forth by The Georgia Private Detective and Security Agencies Act.

Successful course graduates are awarded a Certificate of Completion and 8.0 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from the University of Georgia.

Financing is available to qualified candidates through Sallie Mae® Financial Loans.
