Athens, GA - (April 10, 2007) - The University of Georgia (UGA) Center for Continuing Education is pleased to present the Administrative Professionals Day® Conference, Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at the Georgia Center on the UGA campus. The Georgia Center is located at 1197 South Lumpkin Street in Athens, Ga.

Martha Lanier will present the keynote address, The Competitive Edge: Communication Skills to Produce Positive Results. Lanier has worked in the corporate world as an administrative assistant, executive assistant, office manager, HR director, and VP of relocation services. She is the coauthor of three books -- 303 Solutions for Dropping Stress and Finding Balance, 303 Solutions for Accomplishing More in Less Time, and 303 Solutions for Developing the Leader in You.

Ronda Rich will speak at the luncheon. Rich is the best-selling author of What Southern Women Know (That Every Woman Should). This book launched a new career for the former sports writer, who has now become a popular Southern sage who dispenses musings and observations in her weekly, syndicated newspaper column, Dixie Divas. Ronda speaks at over 100 events each year as a humorous and inspirational speaker. A memoir of her years in NASCAR racing as a journalist and publicist, titled My Life in the Pits, was released in 2002.

The conference is presented in observance of Administrative Professionals Week®, and administrative assistants, aides, executive assistants, office managers, office assistants, clerks, coordinators, secretaries and supervisors are invited to attend. The Administrative Professionals Day® Conference will help participants focus on the tools and techniques to stay motivated, effective, and successful in today's high-pressure work environment. Participants will have opportunities to network, to make new acquaintances, to visit with exhibitors, and to win prizes during the workshops and the luncheon.
