GEORGIA CENTER TO OFFER CORPORATE INVESTIGATION & PRIVATE DETECTIVE CERTIFICATE PROGRAM IN FEBRUARY

Athens, GA - Corporate investigation & private detection is one of the fastest growing careers in the United States. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, "keen competition is expected because private detective and investigator careers attract many qualified people... Employment of private detectives and investigators is expected to grow faster than the average.
The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center & Hotel will offer the Corporate Investigation & Private Detective Certificate Program, Feb. 10-29, 2007, at the Georgia Center, located at 1197 S. Lumpkin St., Athens, Ga. This program will be held over six weekends.
This 80-hour certificate program is specifically designed to provide participants training in the field of corporate and private investigation. The course introduces:
- The fundamentals of investigation
- Investigations in private sector including but not limited to: retail security, corporate security, insurance investigation and general investigation (e.g., hotel, hospitality, etc.)
- The basics of the industry
- Knowledge of legal requirements and licensing
Taught by Board Certified Instructors, this comprehensive, fast-paced program is in compliance with State Board Rules and exceeds the minimum requirements set forth by The Georgia Private Detective and Security Agencies Act.
The Corporate Investigation & Private Detective Certificate Program also supports professionals in other careers who need to learn the skills and techniques for obtaining information, e.g., corporate professionals, paralegals, insurance adjustors, law enforcement personnel, etc.
