Georgia Center announces new conference for green industry -- Turfgrass
Management: A Short Course for Professionals
|
Athens, GA - (June 19, 2007) - The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education is pleased to
announce a new conference for green industry professionals, Turfgrass
Management: A Short Course for Professionals. The conference will be
held November 26-30, 2007, at the University of Georgia Center for
Continuing Education Conference Center & Hotel, 1197 S Lumpkin St, in
Athens, Georgia.
Turfgrass Management: A Short Course for Professionals is a 30-hour
live-lecture conference designed for beginners as well as for more
experienced professionals who want to review or update their knowledge
of turfgrass management.
Participants will gain new knowledge of the nature of turf growth, turf
production, soil characteristics and the environment, through the
discovery, interpretation, and creative application of knowledge, adopt
better pest and disease control practices, adopt better soil science
management practices, and network with other professionals and experts
in the field. Weather permitting, participants will also tour selected
UGA sports turf fields.
Upon successful completion of Turfgrass Management: A Short Course for
Professionals, participants will earn 3 University of Georgia Continuing
Education Units (CEUs) from the University of Georgia and a Certificate of Attendance.
