UGA launches two new online professional development courses for
educators
|
Athens, GA - (May 9, 2007) - The Department of Certificate Programs at the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education, in
partnership with the UGA Department of Special Education - College of
Education, is offering two new online courses: Building Fluency in Basic
Skills and Post-School Transition for Students with Learning
Difficulties. These open enrollment courses are specifically for K-12
general or special education educators seeking Professional Learning
Units (PLUs).
The two new courses offer practical solutions to everyday classroom
experiences. Once enrolled, students will have up to 30 days to complete
each course, and will earn 1 PLU per course. In addition to the new
courses, there are three current courses, Managing Difficult Kids in
General Education Classes, Classroom Structure: Alleviating Behavior
Problems, and Alternative Assessment Practices for the General Education
Classroom, also accepting enrollment.
