Administrative Professionals Day® Conference to be held April 23 at the Georgia Center
Athens, Ga. - (April 2, 2008) - The University of Georgia (UGA) Center for Continuing Education will host the Administrative Professionals Day® Conference, Wednesday, April 23, at the Georgia Center on the UGA campus. The Georgia Center is located at 1197 South Lumpkin Street in Athens, Ga.

Millicent St. Claire will present this year's keynote address, "The Competitive Edge: Communication Skills to Produce Positive Results." A seasoned seminar leader and inspirational speaker, St. Claire specializes in teaching adult learners to discover their hidden genius using Accelerative Learning methods.

Julie L. Cannon will be the luncheon speaker at this year's event. A native Athenian, Cannon graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism. She is the author of Truelove & Homegrown Tomatoes, which was a finalist for the Townsend Prize for Fiction, as well as its sequels, 'Mater Biscuit and Those Pearly Gates, which was a finalist for the SIBA. Her latest book, The Romance Readers' Book Club was published in January 2008.

The conference is presented in observance of Administrative Professionals Week®, and administrative assistants, aides, executive assistants, office managers, office assistants, clerks, coordinators, secretaries and supervisors are invited to attend. The Administrative Professionals Day® Conference will help participants focus on the tools and techniques to stay motivated, effective, and successful in today's high-pressure work environment. Participants will have opportunities to network, to make new acquaintances, to visit with exhibitors, and to win prizes during the workshops and the luncheon.
