2014 Return to the Arch Alumni Seminar

The University of Georgia is proud to host the inaugural Return to the Arch Alumni Seminar, a three-day educational gathering for UGA alumni and friends, from Thursday afternoon through Saturday morning, March 20-22, 2014, at the Georgia Center’s UGA Hotel and Conference Center. This year’s theme is “The Best of UGA.”

This seminar will feature lectures and interactive presentations by university faculty and staff on a variety of topics ranging from the revitalization of Georgia’s towns and recent Supreme Court rulings on healthcare to national intelligence and Southern history. Attendees will be treated to exclusive events on campus, such as a breakfast with UGA deans and tours of the Georgia Museum of Art and Special Collections Libraries.

Friday morning will include four sessions with the best of UGA’s faculty. The lectures are grouped in three tracks; attendees are welcome either to follow a single track of lectures or to move between the tracks to explore topics of greatest interest: 

Track I — The Best of UGA:  The Changing State of Georgia

Track II — The Best of UGA:  Enriching Lives through the Arts & Humanities

Track III — The Best of UGA:  Research that Impacts Our Future

The 2014 Return to the Arch Alumni Seminar is coordinated by the Office of Academic Programs, UGA Alumni Association, UGA Libraries, and Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost.

$290 Price includes all meals, beverages, transportation, seminars and special activities (excludes lodging).

Event Cancellation Policies
(1) A cancellation received by 5:00 p.m. ET on or before March 13, 2014 will be refunded, minus a $35 processing fee. No refunds will be issued thereafter; substitutions will be allowed. (2) To change or cancel your registration, call 800-884-1381, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. (3) If an event is cancelled for any reason, the UGA Hotel and Conference Center will not be responsible for any charges related to travel. 

Hotel Costs: 

$99-$129, excluding suites. You'll be given the opportunity to make a hotel reservation as you proceed through the online registration process, if you require lodging. A special block of hotel rooms is being held for the 2014 Return to the Arch Alumni Seminar until March 6, 2014. Please register promptly to secure your lodging.
