The Georgia Forestry Commission is organizing and hosting a one-day training seminar targeting private landowners, foresters, loggers, certified arborists, and others involved in the management, status, and risks of our natural resources in Georgia. Our training session will contain information on "The Challenges Faced by Landowners in Today's Economy". A variety of topics such as forest health updates, cost-share programs, how to sell your timber, timber theft, alternative revenue sources, plus much more will be covered.

Continuing education credits approved for this training:

  • Continuing forestry education (6.0 hours – CFE Category 1),
  • Continuing logger education ( 3 Hours –environmental, 3 Hours business management),
  • Certified arborist ( 6 Hours), Municipal specialist (6 Hours), BCMA-Management (6 Hours) and commercial pesticide applicators (1Hour – category 23 forestry, 1 Hour category 27 Right of way and 1.0 hour private applicators)

(1) A cancellation received by 5:00 p.m. ET on or before November 20, 2012 will be refunded, minus a $35 processing fee. If your registration fee is less than $35, the entire fee will be retained. No refunds will be issued thereafter; substitutions will be allowed. (2) To change or cancel your registration, call 800-884-1381, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. (3) If an event is cancelled for any reason, the UGA Hotel and Conference Center will not be responsible for any charges related to travel.
