A Southern spin on a traditional sandwich favorite
- 4 fried green tomatoes
- Leaf lettuce
- 2 strips of bacon
- 2 pieces of sourdough bread
- Vidalia onion dressing
- 4 oz of frozen sweet potato fries
- Salt and pepper to taste
Butter and brown the sourdough bread in a pan over medium heat until golden brown on one side. Prepare the fried green tomatoes by either pan frying or deep frying the battered green tomatoes.
Spread the Vidalia onion dressing on the non-browned side of the sourdough bread. Then place the fried green tomatoes on top followed by leaf lettuce and bacon. Then close it out by placing the other piece of bread on top with the browned side facing up. Cut it in half, and secure with a toothpick. To garnish, add pepperoncini to the toothpick. Served with sweet potato fries. Enjoy the traditional, southern sandwich classic.
