The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel is hiring motivated, dependable, and team-orientated individuals for jobs that advance the University of Georgia’s mission of public service and outreach. The Georgia Center, located on campus across from Stegeman Coliseum, is the campus hub for the development and administration of non-credit professional and continuing education courses as well as home of the only on-campus hotel, the UGA Hotel and Conference Center.

Sales & Event Coordination

Join our team of culinary professionals providing exceptional service in our onsite restaurants and catered events.
Waiter/Waitress (Temporary – position will last less than 12 months)
As part of this comprehensive Food and Beverage operation, the Center offers served meals, buffet meals, receptions, banquet bars, a la carte deliveries, coffee breaks and off-site events for any and all meal periods and time frames. This position will be tasked with setting tables as needed, serving customers in the banquet area as needed, serving coffee breaks, serving customers in the restaurant, catering outside functions, performing other customer service functions as needed.

Kitchen Utility Worker – Dishwasher (Temporary – position will last less than 12 months)
Duties of this position include: Washing dishes and kitchen wares manually or with machines, making sure dishes are cleaned, dried, and stored properly. Position is responsible for taking out trash from various stations within the kitchen and performing all duties using the proper sanitation practices.

Hotel Houseman/Housewoman (Temporary – position will last less than 12 months)
This position is responsible for stocking housekeeping floor closets with amenities and supplies. This may include taking supplies directly to room attendants, empty room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash, pick up all soiled linen bags and trash bags from hallways and closets (keep clean and empty of bags), maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all linen closets, stock housekeeping floor closets with clean linen according with the inventory necessary per floor.

Night Auditor
This position is responsible for overall operations and appearance of the Hotel Front Desk during the 11 pm - 7 am shift. This includes serving as Manager on Duty overseeing the guests and employees and their safety, auditing the hotel’s daily transactions, monitoring all in-house billing arrangements, and balancing daily cash, check and credit card transactions for the deposit.

Resource Coordinator
This position will serve as the office manager for the Event Services Department by answering the phone, ordering the necessary supplies for the functioning of the department, processing and paying of department bills, along with duties assigned by the Events Services Manager. They will manage resource requests, changes, resolve conflicts/issues and handle billing for the Department Resource Area through the Facilities Management System.
