Join our team of culinary professionals providing exceptional service in our onsite restaurants and catered events.
Assistant Catering Manager
The Assistant Catering Manager is responsible for supervisory work in retail food service. Work involves assisting Georgia Center Banquet Manager in planning, execution, and clean up of all banquet and catering functions. Clerical duties will include the assistance in writing the schedule for banquet staff while staying within budgeted guidelines.

Special Events Chef
The individual in this role will assist the Executive Chef in the recruiting, training, and directing of a team of culinary professionals that ensures culinary excellence in preparation and presentation of food products for outlets within the Georgia Center and catered events. Managing the elements related to profit and loss within the kitchen operation. Assist in the development and management of a safety culture that creates a work environment that is focused on the health and safety of guests and employees.

Dishwasher - Temporary
*This is a temporary position that will last less than 12 months and is not eligible for benefits. Temporary employees will be considered for full-time positions when they are available. The duties of this position include: washing dishes and kitchen wares manually or with machines, making sure dishes are cleaned, dried, and stored properly. Taking out trash from various stations within the kitchen. Perform all duties using the proper sanitation practices to keep area clean and ready for certified inspection at any time. The Georgia Center for Continuing Education and Hotel’s Food and Beverage unit operates a variety of banquet options and onsite dining outlets to serve its UGA and non-UGA customers. As part of this comprehensive Food and Beverage operation, the Center offers served meals, buffet meals, receptions, banquet bars, a la carte deliveries, coffee breaks and off-site events for any and all meal periods and time frames. Night Auditor
The Night Auditor performs an audit of the business day’s transactions. Audit duties include running all daily reports and checking for accuracy, auditing all payment types, completing all end-of-day reports, and rolling the report date to the next business day. The night auditor will also check in and check out guests, make and confirm reservations, answer all telephone calls and respond to guest requests, serve as manager on duty, enter maintenance work orders, prepare daily shift reports, train and oversee relief auditors, and attend all needed meetings and training sessions. As the manager on duty, the Night Auditor will learn the hotel’s fire, health, and emergency procedures and be ready to implement these policies and procedures when needed. This is an essential position and may be needed to work when the University is closed.

Front Desk Supervisor
The Front Desk Supervisor serves as Manager on Duty, supervising front office employees to ensure efficient and high-quality guest experiences. This position also supports team members in handling guest requests and complaints to achieve a positive outcome, understands all hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, and other product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties and help maximize revenue opportunities. A knowledge of the hotel’s fire, health, and safety regulations is needed and when appropriate, this position will take action in accordance with these policies and procedures. The Front Desk Supervisor builds strong relationships and collaborations with other Georgia Center departments.

Housekeeper
This position provides cleaning services primarily in guest rooms in the hotel.
