FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Join our team of culinary professionals providing exceptional service in our onsite restaurants and catered events.
Waiter/Waitress (Temporary – position will last less than 12 months)
As part of this comprehensive Food and Beverage operation, the Center offers served meals, buffet meals, receptions, banquet bars, a la carte deliveries, coffee breaks and off-site events for any and all meal periods and time frames. This position will be tasked with setting tables as needed, serving customers in the banquet area as needed, serving coffee breaks, serving customers in the restaurant, catering outside functions, performing other customer service functions as needed.

This position is responsible for preparing and presenting food for the Savannah Room, Courtyard Café, Training Table, and or Banquets (AM/PM).

Kitchen Utility Worker – Dishwasher (Temporary – position will last less than 12 months)
Duties of this position include: Washing dishes and kitchen wares manually or with machines, making sure dishes are cleaned, dried, and stored properly. Position is responsible for taking out trash from various stations within the kitchen and performing all duties using the proper sanitation practices.

Cook II
This position will prepare and cook primarily for Athletic Training Table and AM banquets as needed. The individual will need to work ahead on all assignments and maintain appropriate prep levels, help prep for large groups, perform all duties using the proper sanitation practices, keep work area clean and ready for certified inspection at any time, and work in any other food service area as needed. Employee will need to manage and communicate personal work load to ensure economical use of food and timely preparation, and perform all duties while minimizing waste and impacting both food cost and inventory in a positive manner.

Cook II
This is skilled cooking work involving the preparation of a variety of complex foods for the UGA Athlete’s Training Table Action Station in the afternoons and evenings. Work involves supervision of and participation in preparation of foods in accordance recipes and standards. Assignments are received in the form of menus and through conferences with Executive Chef, but the employee has considerable independence in actual food preparation. All work is checked by observation of the results obtained, and by analysis of the costs incurred.

CONTINUING EDUCATION
Join our team of educational professionals to provide innovative lifelong learning opportunities to participants around the globe through our continuing education programs.

Program Coordinator I
This position is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of youth programs offered by the Georgia Center for Continuing Education. Position will supervise part time staff and instructors hired for youth camps. Position will help with recruiting and interviewing camp staff and instructors, researching new program ideas and program funding opportunities, planning and scheduling camps, securing housing and food services on campus, establishing and executing camp safety protocols, training camp staff, requesting and managing supply and material orders, responding to customer inquiries, coordinating data collection, preparing reports, and survey distribution. This position will be supervised by Program Coordinator III, who oversees development and implementation of youth programs. Position will have the authority to make decisions related to youth program responsibilities in absence of supervisor.

Georgia Center Maintenance Worker
This is a semi-skilled manual work of more than ordinary difficulty. Work requires performance of duties related to electrical, plumbing, air conditioning & heating, lock, basic carpentry, and other general maintenance work related to maintenance and repair of the Georgia Center along with simple construction and fabrication tasks. Completed work is subject to inspection by an administrative superior. Supervision may be exercised over a small group of laborers. The ability to make decisions related to repairs or emergency are expected in this position.
