FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Join our team of culinary professionals providing exceptional service in our onsite restaurants and catered events.
Banquet Cook
This positions prepares and presents all foods for banquets, Courtyard Cafe and Scholarship Athlete Training Table. It ensures all venues are stocked for the events, helps prep for large groups and follows sanitation health standards. The position also keeps clean all work spaces ready for certified inspection at any time.

Kitchen Utility Worker – Dishwasher (Temporary – position will last less than 12 months)
Duties of this position include: Washing dishes and kitchen wares manually or with machines, making sure dishes are cleaned, dried, and stored properly. Taking out trash from various stations within the kitchen. Perform all duties using the proper sanitation practices. To keep area clean and ready for certified inspection at any time. As part of this comprehensive Food and Beverage operation, the Center offers served meals, buffet meals, receptions, banquet bars, a la carte deliveries, coffee breaks and off-site events for any and all meal periods and time frames. This position will be tasked with: setting tables as needed; serving customers in the banquet area as needed; serving coffee breaks; serving customers in our various food outlets; catering outside functions as needed; performing other customer service functions as needed.

This position is responsible for overall operations and appearance of the Hotel Front Desk during the 11pm-7am shift. Senior Event Coordinator
This position is charged with responding to business opportunities from within assigned markets, and actively selling the facilities and services of the UGA Center for Continuing Education & Hotel (the Georgia Center) as well as coordinating the Georgia Center’s fulfillment of promises as detailed in Agreements and Banquet Event Orders. This position serves as the client’s primary contact, while successfully working with other departments to provide our customers exemplary service.

Event Planner
The position serves as administrative support for programs sponsored by the Georgia Center for Continuing Education. The position serves as a primary point of contact for the department and is responsible for processing course registrations, and converting inquiries into enrollments, responsible for communicating with the general public specific program information, responsible for data entry of participant information into appropriate platforms, generating reports, and processing program expenses, assists students with detailed knowledge of program policies and procedures, and provides high-level customer service.

Facilities Manager II
The GC Facilities Manager is responsible for supervising the planning, design, and implementation of Capital Project renovations and facilities maintenance, on behalf of UGA’s Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel. Assignments consist of specific project oversight and includes instructions, as to the general policies and procedures, that the employee/construction team is expected to maintain as best practices. This position is expected to make technical decisions and exercise considerable initiation and creativity within the scope of renovations, maintenance, design, and most critically, modifications to infrastructure.
