Commitment to Equal Access

The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education is committed to providing equal access to continuing education programs for students living with disabilities.

Request Accommodations

We are delighted you are interested in enrolling in our continuing education courses. If you require personalized accommodation in order to be successful in our courses, you can make the written request by providing appropriate documentation from a licensed or certified professional.

The certified documentation provided by a healthcare provider includes a professional diagnosis of the disability, how it may affect course performance, the duration of the condition, and a suggested best course of action. It is imperative that your healthcare professional provide complete contact information through our Documentation Request Form, signed and submitted to questions@georgiacenter.uga.edu. If you prefer, our secure fax number is also acceptable at (706) 542-6596.

Your request and documentation will be reviewed to determine your eligibility for services and they must be received three weeks before the course start date. You will receive a notification once a decision has been made within five business days, provided all documentation submitted is complete. If approved, your instructor(s) will be notified of all appropriate accommodations.

If you have any questions about requesting accommodations or the necessary documentation for your particular case, we are here to ensure that your privacy is kept in the strictest confidence. It’s our business to support your love of lifelong learning.
