Writing a proposal for the first time can be a frustrating and overwhelming experience. Using common grant development formats, participants will proceed step-by-step through the development of a concept to a completed proposal, emphasizing hot topics and hot fields with funding resources; identifying and evaluating the most appropriate funding sources; researching a problem and supplying the documentation and statistics necessary for supporting a grant proposal; and identifying the characteristics of successful grant writers.
