Are your courses eligible for financial assistance?

All continuing Education courses are non-credit, professional development courses and are not eligible for any payment plans or state/ federal financial aid, including scholarships and government-subsidized loans or grants. The course fee is due in full when you register. Alternatively, some students choose to obtain a private educational loan through their bank or private lender (such as Sallie Mae), that may be an option you wish to explore. Visit the Financial Assistance web page for more details on these options.

Are your courses self-paced?

We partner with the CE shop to offer asynchronous courses that students can complete in a self-paced, self-study program style. This means that you do not have any specific milestones for completing any coursework other than the time allotted for the program itself. The CE shop provides the curriculum and instructors to maintain the state standards so students can succeed on the Georgia state licensing exam. We do not offer these courses in person.

What is the cancelation policy?

No cancellations or refunds issued for any course after seven days of purchase.

How do I take the end-of-course exam?

After you complete all the course materials, meet the minimum time requirement, and pass the practice exam(s), there's a final course exam. State regulation mandates that our final course exams are proctored by a credible third party to ensure the integrity of our students and our exams. The University of Georgia and CE Shop partner with PSI to offer our students online proctoring. This means you are able to take your final course exam at your convenience while being monitored by a remote proctor through video and screen-sharing capabilities. Each proctored exam attempt costs $25. View the Steps for Online Proctoring for more information regarding proctoring.
