To earn your SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP you must meet specific education and work experience criteria at the time you submit your application in order to be eligible to sit for the exam. Visit the SHRM web site to learn more about eligibility requirements.
For those not seeking certification, the SHRM Learning System for SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP course provides a comprehensive and accelerated option for professional development. Participants gain a generalist viewpoint, refresh key ideas and concepts, strengthen their understanding of core HR competencies and increase productivity in the workplace.

Students will be awarded a Certificate of Program Completion for 4.0 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) upon successfully completing the course.
Attendance Policy and Other Important Requirements:
To receive the Certificate of Completion and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) the following is required:
- Attendance at a specified number of classes (at least 9 for weekday & 5 for weekend; this does not include the orientation session)
- Timely and successful completion of written and oral assignments
To receive the Certificate of Achievement from SHRM, the following is required:
- All requirements mentioned above for the Certificate of Completion
- A score of 70% or better for the SHRM Final Exam
Military Funding Information:
The Human Resources Management Certificate Program has been approved by the Department of Veterans Services to receive GI Bill funding. Spouses of active duty military members that are eligible for MYCAA and active duty military members that are eligible for Air Force TA and Army TA may contact their education service officer to apply for course approval.
