Standard Cancellations & Refunds
The Georgia Center for Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel any class or make changes it deems necessary to provide students with the best educational experience possible, as well as to ensure the health and safety of all members of the university community.

The Georgia Center for Continuing Education is not responsible for any personal expenses incurred, including but not limited to transportation, lodging, supplies, etc., due to a cancellation.
Refund of a credit card payment should appear on the next billing cycle. Check, cash, and debit card payments will be refunded within four (4) weeks.

Business & Leadership Cancellations
Project Management Certificate and Executive Project Management
We will issue a refund, minus a $250 cancellation fee, for cancellation requests received no later than 7 days before the course start date. If you are unable to attend the scheduled course dates, you may request a transfer to the next available course offering. Only one course transfer is permitted. All cancellation and refund requests must be sent in writing via email to gc-student@uga.edu no later than 10 days before the course start date.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate
We will issue a refund, minus a $150 cancellation fee, for cancellation requests received no later than seven (7) days before the course start date. All cancellation and refund requests must be sent to gc-student@uga.edu no later than seven (7) days after the issuance of your course access information.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate for Healthcare
If you have not accessed the online course at all, you may request a refund minus a $150 cancellation fee. All cancellation and refund requests must be sent to gc-student@uga.edu no later than seven (7) days after the issuance of your course access information.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate
If you have not accessed the online course at all, you may request a refund minus a $250 cancellation fee. All cancellation and refund requests must be sent in writing via email to gc-student@uga.edu no later than seven (7) days after the issuance of your course access information.
Event Planning and Meeting Management Certificate
The Georgia Center issues refunds (minus a $150 processing fee) for cancellations made no later than 30 days prior to the start date. No refunds for cancellations after that date. If a program is canceled for any reason, the Georgia Center is not responsible for any cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies.
Business Writing Fundamentals
The Georgia Center will gladly issue a refund, minus a $45 cancellation fee, for requests received no later than 10 days before the course start date To request a refund, please use the “drop request” feature on your participant (registration) portal.
Sherpa Executive Coaching Certification Program
The Georgia Center issues refunds (minus a $250 processing fee) for cancellations made on or before the deadline posted on the course page. All cancellation and refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to gc-student@uga.edu by the deadline to be processed.
Governmental Training Cancellations
If you have not accessed the online course at all, you may request a refund minus a $50 cancellation fee. Requests must be sent to gc-student@uga.edu no later than seven (7) days after the issuance of your course access information.
Grant Writing and Nonprofits Cancellations
Grant Writing Certificate
The Georgia Center issues refunds minus a $100 cancellation fee, for cancellation requests received no later than 10 days before the course start date.
Healthcare and Pharmacy
Introduction to Biomanufacturing & Quality Basics for Cell and Gene Therapy Products
The Georgia Center will issue full refunds for cancellations received in writing before the release of course access information. You may cancel your enrollment at any time during the course and receive a refund less a $35 administrative fee, provided that you have not accessed the online course material at all.
Human Resources
The Georgia Center will issue a refund, minus a $150 cancellation fee (or $175 if a voucher was also purchased), for requests received no later than 30 days before the course start date. If any print materials were shipped, you must return the printed materials unopened or be charged a 50% cancellation fee. All cancellation and refund requests must be sent in writing via email to gc-student@uga.edu.
Languages & Interpreting
Spanish English Medical Interpreter and Spanish English Legal Interpreter
We will issue a refund, minus a $100 processing fee, for cancellation requests received no later than ten (10) days before the course start date. To request a refund, please use the “drop request” feature on your participant (registration) portal.
Professional Interpreter in Education, Professional Interpreter in Special Education, and Professional Translator in Education
We will gladly issue a refund, minus a $75 cancellation fee, for cancellation requests received no later than seven (7) days before the course start date. To request a refund, please use the “drop request” feature on your participant (registration) portal.
Market Research
You may cancel your enrollment within the first seven days and receive a refund minus a $100 administrative processing fee, provided that you have not accessed the online course material at all. All cancellation and refund requests must be sent in writing via email to gc-student@uga.edu
Teaching, Training & Education
Instructional Design and eLearning Certificate
Should the Georgia Center find it necessary to cancel the course for any reason, we will attempt to notify the participants at least 24 hours in advance via phone and/or e-mail. In the event that the course is canceled by the Georgia Center, a 100% refund will be processed for each registrant. The Georgia Center will issue a refund less a $75 cancellation fee for course cancellation requests received before 5:00 p.m. on the fifth business day prior to the beginning of a course. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. No refunds can be issued if you cancel within four business days of the course start date or at any time after a course begins. Once you access the online course, you are no longer eligible for a refund. All cancellation and refund requests must be sent in writing via email to gc-student@uga.edu.
Turfgrass Management & Gardening
Principles of Turfgrass Management Certificate (online)
If you have not accessed the online course at all, you may request a refund minus a $75 cancellation fee. Please note that once you have accessed the online course, you are no longer eligible for a refund. All cancellation and refund requests must be sent in writing via email to gc-student@uga.edu no later than seven (7) days after the issuance of your course access information.
Principles of Turfgrass Management Certificate (print) and Sports Turfgrass Management Certificate
We will issue a refund, minus a $75 administrative fee, once we receive your returned materials. All cancellation and refund requests must be sent in writing via email to gc-student@uga.edu or via telephone at 706-542-3537 within thirty (30) days of registration.
