American Sign Language Courses at UGA

Learning ASL can open doors to new employment opportunities, or help you communicate effectively with family and friends who are deaf or hearing-impaired. 

This course was created specifically to help students taking basic American Sign Language courses master fingerspelling through repetitive learning methods.

This course will focus on some of the sign vocabulary and phrases that may be commonly used in a classroom.

This introductory course prepares medical personnel and others who know basic sign language to assist deaf or hearing-impaired patients in preliminary interactions related to emergencies, admissions and procedure preparations.

Grammar Courses

This course establishes a foundation for continuous learning. Topics include a review of all tenses, the use of modals, the adjective clause, the noun clause, the adverb clause, phrases, count and non-count nouns and some English terms.
