AP® Summer Institutes for Teachers will provide you with the content and resources you need to lead a successful AP® course at your school. These intensive workshops will familiarize you with subject-specific AP® standards, course content and teaching methods, and will help you identify the skills and knowledge the exam will assess, so you can better prepare your students.

The workshop will help you develop or tweak your syllabi and lesson plans and learn new strategies for teaching students at beginning and intermediate levels. This is a wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas and information with your peers, and become a member of an engaged and diverse learning community.

Who Should Attend?

Workshops are appropriate for both new and experienced teachers.

A Certificate of Completion and a digital badge will be awarded to each participant who meets the completion requirements, and all workshops are approved for 3.0 CEUs which will be reflected on participant transcripts.

Registrations for the 2022 Advanced Placement Summer Institutes are processed through Cvent. All attendees must have an AP Central account to begin the registration process.

After completing registration in Cvent, you must create an account in the University of Georgia’s registration system (Public Service & Outreach (PSO) Registration System) to process payments for the workshop. Your Cvent confirmation email will have the payment instructions.

Did you apply for a scholarship?
We highly recommend going ahead and registering now if you are applying for a CollegeBoard scholarship. We will hold your space in the course until we get the release of the scholarship recipients list from the CollegeBoard no later than May 13, 2022. If you do not receive a scholarship, we will notify you. You or your school will need to make full payment at that time to hold your space in the course. Hotel Costs for Week 1
A special hotel rate of $109 plus taxes per night with complimentary breakfast, parking, and Wi-Fi is available at Home2Suites by Hilton Lawrenceville Atlanta Sugarloaf for APSI Week 1 attendees. The special rate is available until May 27th. Book online and receive the special rate.

Hotel Costs for Week 3
A special hotel rate from $99-$149 plus taxes per night depending on room type is available at the Georgia Center Hotel for APSI Week 3 attendees. The special rate is available until June 20, 2022.

Registration check-in for Week 3 will take place on Sunday evening, July 10, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. There will be a registration check-in on Monday at 7:00 a.m. Classes will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. on Monday and end at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
