Gain the testing skills you need for SAT success

The SAT Prep Class is an intensive test prep program that provides the tools you need to confidently take the new SAT and substantially improve your score. The program is conveniently scheduled in the weeks leading up to forthcoming test dates so you will be in peak performance for test day.

In each interactive session, expert instructors review the material covered on the test. Instructors will also explain the strategies, skills, and tips you need to excel on the test. Between the scheduled online sessions, allow some time to practice the skills you learn to maximize your performance.

The SAT Prep Class includes:

Test Taking Strategies

  • Master time-management strategies
  • Use the process of elimination
  • Minimize test anxiety
  • Identify common distractors

Quantitative Topics

  • Review frequently-tested math skills
  • Practice solution techniques for problems containing variables
  • Learn efficient approaches to problems that seem complicated
  • Discover tactics for translating word problems into equations

Verbal Topics

  • Interpret data presented in charts
  • Understand how to approach the passage for reading comprehension questions
  • Choose vocabulary using context clues
  • Apply conventions of standard English
  • Understanding how note taking accomplishes a goal

Who Should Attend

The SAT Prep Class is ideal for students who need an intensive preparation program. Students generally take the SAT during their junior year of high school. This course is perfect for rising juniors taking the test for the first time, for seniors and other high school students who have already taken the exam but wish to improve their score, and for younger students who want to start preparing early.

High-speed Internet connection and speakers/headphones are required.

Textbooks

The course fee includes all student course materials, access to online resources, and instruction from a trained professional who cares about your success. For live-online classes, digital course materials will be available in the online Student Portal. Students in face-to-face classes will receive printed materials which may include handouts or a workbook.
