Spark is a short, weekend-long academic program for middle and high school students offered at the Georgia Center on UGA’s campus in Athens. This Weekend Academy has grown from our popular Summer Academy at UGA and provides two-day academic programs during the fall and spring.

Our Spark: Weekend Academy virtual programs are designed to let you live out your ambitions by taking a dive into a specific professional field. You can immerse yourself in any world you choose, from medicine to writing to culinary to robotics. You’ll work with experts in the field to get practical experience and receive helpful advice on how to get where you want to go all while having a great time in our virtual space!

Registration for Fall 2020 Spark is Now Open

For Fall 2020, we are offering eight exciting programs, including sessions on Anatomy and Physiology, 2D Animation, Photography, Video Game Design, and more. Our Spark program includes new information and activities, so even if you have attended our Summer Academy camps, these programs are for you!
