Jamie Lynn Byram holds a Masters of Science in Financial Planning from the University of Alabama, a Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary, and is currently a doctoral student at the University of Georgia. She has over 10 years of experience teaching financial planning courses at the collegiate level for several universities and served as Director of Financial Planning programs for four years at the University of Southern Mississippi. She currently teaches at the University of Georgia. As an Accredited Financial Counselor®, Jamie Lynn is unique in the financial services industry because she focuses on helping people develop positive and lasting behaviors...habits if you will...regarding their financial affairs. Her philosophy is simple: Those who plan with a purpose will have peace. This is Jamie Lynn’s second year as a Summer Academy instructor.
Aditi Routh is currently a Ph.D. student and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the College of Family and Consumer Sciences, at the University of Georgia. Her research focuses on low-income consumers’ saving, spending, and banking behavior, in addition to the myriad budgeting decisions that they make to make ends meet. Prior to attending UGA, she completed her Masters in Economics at the University of California, Riverside. She has always been curious about all things associated with money: including the banking system as well as how an individual’s financial choices impact the economy as a whole. She looks forward to making Money Dawgs a fun learning experience for the students using examples and activities from the real world! This is Aditi’s second year as a Summer Academy instructor.
